TrueCall® Expands Support for VoLTE
Tektronix Communications has launched its latest release of TrueCall®, developed by its wholly owned company Newfield Wireless, with enhancements to include VoLTE and single radio-voice call continuity (SRVCC) troubleshooting and optimization capabilities.
BERKELEY, CA, Feb. 25, 2015 - Tektronix Communications has launched its latest release of TrueCall®, developed by its wholly owned company Newfield Wireless, a pioneer in next-generation Radio Access Network (RAN) geoanalytics. Today’s announcement further enhances the company’s market-leading VoLTE and single radio-voice call continuity (SRVCC) troubleshooting and optimization capabilities.
Tektronix Communications has integrated the new version of TrueCall into its existing portfolio of Core and IMS network solutions, providing world-class end-to-end VoLTE insight and troubleshooting capabilities.
The combined solution ensures operators have access-to-core visibility across multiple networks, comprehensive VoLTE service KPIs, expanded subscriber experience management and supplementary VoLTE service support, among other features.
The new version of TrueCall has already been deployed into one of the largest VoLTE-enabled networks in the world, supporting VoLTE service at launch and for ongoing service.
With SRVCC capabilities, TrueCall ensure seamless call handover from LTE to legacy networks. New VoLTE services are becoming increasingly common with the launch of VoLTE-enabled devices, such as the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
With TrueCall, mobile operators can:
- ensure efficient VoLTE service launch and ongoing service
- create a seamless subscriber experience during call handovers through analysis of VoLTE and SRVCC
- rapidly resolve complex circuit-switch fallback (CSFB) and voice call continuity (VCC) issues to deliver consistent voice services
- analyze device performance, specifically targeting those providing VoLTE service
Ovum Research reported that OTT VoIP will cost telecoms operators $479 billion in lost revenues between 2012 and 2020. To combat this, operators are increasingly looking to services like VoLTE.

TrueCall provides a unique correlation between RAN performance data generated in real time 24x7x365 with subscriber and device analytics from the core network and enriches it all with geolocation information. Its scalability, combined with ease of use and well-defined data access, enables operators to monitor, identify and troubleshoot RAN issues and apply data to other applications, including geomarketing and customer care.
